National Firearm Safety Initiative (NFSI)
The National Firearm Safety Initiative (NFSI) is a Canadian-founded non-profit organization dedicated to protecting families, communities, and lawful firearm owners through tangible, technology-driven safety solutions.
For too long, firearm safety efforts have focused largely on awareness campaigns, lobbying, and education, well-intentioned but limited in their ability to stop tragedies in real time. The NFSI was created with a different mission: to move beyond conversation and deliver real tools that prevent unauthorized firearm access, theft, and misuse before harm occurs. All contributions help advance the development of the ARUD, a system engineered by Sound Sentinel Corporation under sponsorship from NFSI which raises sponsorship funds & contributions that directly support the research and development (R&D) of ARUD.
Our Purpose
Universal Access to ARUD:
To secure federal and provincial government support, via subsidies that make the Arms Recovery Unit Device (ARUD) available to every licensed firearm-owning family in Canada, ensuring that financial means are never a barrier to safety or responsibility.Innovation That Saves Lives:
To fund, develop, and promote smart firearm safety technologies such as ARUD, a groundbreaking Canadian system designed to detect tampering, track movement, record evidence, and prevent unauthorized use of firearms in real time.Protecting Children and Families:
To reduce child injuries, suicides, and deaths caused by unsecured or stolen firearms through early detection and instant intervention technology.Empowering Owners & Law Enforcement:
